Westin Key West Resort and Marina

Best Of IgoUgo

Hotel | "Westin Key West"

Quote:
The resort is lovely and newly renovated. We got a great IgoUgo rate of $199 per night for a balcony room overlooking Mallory Square with a partial ocean view. We had a king room which was nicely decorated and very clean. The resort had a nice pool but for the size of the resort I thought the recreational area was somewhat small. The resort is also very spread out so plan to have a bit of a hike from valet parking to your room if you are on the far side of the resort. Guaranteed 4pm check-in was not honored nor were any concessions made for out wait. I am not recommending this resort because we would not stay here again. For the price there are many other spots that we already know we...Read More

This was our first visit to Pisces and we will, without a doubt, go back soon. The food was AWESOME! I had the Pisces Aphrodite Appetizer which was a puffed pastry stuffed with lobster, scallops, shrimp, and a tarragon butter sauce. It was divine! I had the surf and turf for my entree and I will say that was by far the best steak I have ever had. The Madeira Truffle sauce may have had a lot to do with it. Dh had some type of fish entree that he said was the best fish he has ever had. For dessert, I cannot recommend the chocolate fondant highly enough. You must have this if you even remotely like chocolate. It was amazing. The staff was professional and attentive. Every person in t...Read More

Chico's Cantina

Restaurant | "Chico's Mexican Cantina"

Quote:
Chico's is a Mexican restaurant located at mm 4.5 right before you get to Key West. The menu had your typical Mexican fare. Dh and I each selected one of the daily specials. Dh had the pork chops and I had the fish tacos. In addition, we shared a quesadilla for an app. Although the fish was fresh, the fish tacos were very bland. Dh's pork chops were very tender, juicy and flavorful. The chips and salsa were homemade and excellent; however, the flour tortillas were either not homemade or stale. The service was fine for the most part, but not very friendly. Overall, I thought the food was mediocre and the price way too much for a Mexican Cantina (our meal was $51 with tip).

Bob's Bunz

Restaurant

Quote:
If you are interested in a rib stickin', down home meal, and wonderful baked goods, Bob's Bunz is the place to go. I had the Champ which was home fries with melted cheese, sausage gravy, basted eggs with Corned Beef Hash and toast or English muffin ($8.95). It was not as huge as it sounds, but definitely worth the money and filling. Very yummy. Dh had the grouper and chips. The grouper was lightly breaded and perfectly prepared. Delish! For dessert we shared one of Bob's Cinnamon Bunz. Excellent! Take some home. The service was very friendly and the meal was a great value at $20. We will be going back.

Lobsterfest

Attraction

Quote:
This was our second time at Lobsterfest. If I had remembered what it was like last time I wouldn't have gone back. My expectations were a food fest of all things that are lobster. What I quickly remembered as we made our way through the festival is that each booth (restaurant) cooks the same menu: Lobster, boiled potatoes and corn on the cob. Very little variation, I saw one booth that had lobster rolls that was the extent of the creativity. If you don't like crowds (I don't) and you don't like the menu, skip Lobsterfest. The lone band and the few booths that didn't have the standard fare did not make the festival a standout for us. If you are interested in a really original Key West ...Read More
