The Mall of America was a highlight of its own. It sure is neat to experience it, even though it really is not that impressive. It is BIG, I can and will say that. But it really did not have that many different stores than other malls I have been to and it was really hard to shop at times. If you go there to shop you must have an agenda, or specific places in mind. It would really be too hard and take to long to go from store to store and walk the whole thing to shop. The mall always had lots of people everywhere. Except the day we can early for breakfast, then it was a little barer. Lego Land and the Underwater Adventure were crowed almost every day. Not too crowded that you could ...Read More

Here are a few places that we stopped. They really were too short to make a journal of their own but nevertheless interesting and a great part of my trip. I love food and new places so these were a few of my favorites.Caribou Coffee- Caribou Coffee is the Starbucks of the North. In many places you can find a Starbucks on every street corner, well in Minnesota you will see at least 3 Caribou Coffees in the Mall of America alone. The coffee here is pretty good. It is defiantly a lot nice place than a Starbucks and a little more expensive. The drinks and the flavors a pretty similar but he prices and the quality is a little higher. These coffee houses provide a comfor...Read More

The Mall of America has several eating places and a few food courts. There is a food court in The Park and then a food court up on the second floor that is more like a mall food court. The food court in The Park is pretty small. It has a few places, mostly the basics like hot dogs, hamburgers, subs, pizza, and Mexican food. We eat at Cousins, a sub place. It was awful. The service was horrendous and they had to remake my sandwich three times before they got it right. They had everything written down and still go it wrong. My order was not the only one they continued to mess up. I guess that is why I had to wait about 20 minutes for them to finally make my sandwich right was because ...Read More

Lego Land is located right out side of Camp Snoopy and is at the entrance of one of the entrances to the mall. The entrance we went into, we walked right up too it. Lego Land is this great extraordinary well just what it is called Lego Land. Surrounding the store are huge Lego built displays. On one side there is a dinosaur scene with 4 pretty big built dinosaurs. In the frond when you first walk in there is a huge grandfather clock that almost reaches the second story. In the air you will see a guy riding a motorcycle, the world, an airplane and a few other displays. These displays are amazing, made of all Legos its unbelievable that someone could build these and also how many Legos it must ha...Read More

Camp snoopy is the famous amusement park you always here about when people talk about the Mall of America. The amusement park its self is pretty big. My no means is it a 6-flags or anything like that but it is neat that there is a carnival like park in the middle of the mall. No other mall I have been to has had such a thing. There are several rids like a Ferris wheel, roller coaster, water log ride, and some other big kid rides and smaller kid rides. The park is just like an amusement park in that it has a food court, snack and food kiosk, games you can play for prizes and plenty of stores with souvenirs. The walkway around the park is lined with trees and plants and wood fence. You get the feel...Read More

The Underwater Adventure Aquarium is in the basement of the mall. Yes that’s right, 4 stores and a basement. It is underground and covers quite a bit of space. There are three levels to the Aquarium, the top level which you really are just directed downstairs to the actually aquarium, but here you can see a mini model of the whole adventure and ask a staff member questions about the Underwater Adventure. They then lead you down the escalator and to the second floor which you can find a food court-like section with vending machines and snacks and table and chairs, there are a few games and a few little rides for the small kids. This is also the level that you pay to go into the underwater aquarium...Read More

Smack-dab in the middle of downtown Minneapolis is Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome, Home of the Minnesota Twins. The Metrodome is an indoor baseball/football stadium where the Twins and Vikings play. The Metrodome was built so these teams could play sports throughout the year in the cold weather. It sure was an interesting and neat experience. This is the first dome stadium we have been too. It was not like an other stadium. Getting to the stadium was not too hard; it's right off I35 in downtown. Parking... now that was a little different story. Parking was a bit confusing. We thought we had it on the first try, made one wrong turn, and found ourselves down entering into the University...Read More
