Portland is the place for the best of anything Jerk in Jamaica. You name it,they jerk it. Jerk is a method of cooking along with good spices. This place is famous for Jerk Chicken, Pork, and Sausages. Once a year around the middle of July this small scenic town has a huge Jerk Festival. You could smell the aroma of spices for miles around, and that's how far people would drive to this fishing village to experience this annual event.
