Nothing beats Disney World!!

Earl of Sandwich

Restaurant

Earl of Sandwich

Oh My God! Earl of Sandwich is a must for anyone visiting Disney World. At $5 a sandwich... what a steal! The sandwiches are great! They come on this soft tasty roll and come in various ways to satisfy every member of the family. The sandwiches are made fresh, right in front of you and are toasted. Some of my families favorites include the meatball sandwich, the chicken florentine sandwich, and the turkey. They also have great salad selections that they toss right in front of you. This is a great place to eat while staying at Disney and exceeds my expectations when it comes to both taste and price!

Rain Forest Cafe

Restaurant

Rain Forest Cafe

Rain Forest Cafe is a great place to dine while in Downtown Disney. The atmosphere is so much fun. There are tanks upon tanks of tropical fishes as well as many interactive animals. There are two different dining sections, one is the gorilla section and the other is the elephant section. Although you can not really choose which one you want to sit in, they both are equally fun. There is a rain/thunderstorm that happens at least once or twice during your meal in the rain forest! The meals are great, huge selection from appetizers, burgers, sandwiches, salads, and pastas. We have to highly recommend meals worth mentioning. First is the Buffalo Chicken Salad, it is so fresh and so big, best salad I have ever had and we also love the chicken wrap there as well! The mixed drinks are fun but a little on the expensive side for what you get. Overall this restaurant is great and make sure to stop in the gift shop on the way out. They always have some really good gift ideas that are cheaper than what you will find in the Disney stores!

ESPN

Restaurant

ESPN

ESPN is another one of our favorites. It is a great place to go at night for some appetizers and a few drinks. We did notice a few things: bottles of beer are cheaper than draft beer here... weird but good to know. Chicken kickers are highly recommended, and do not even attempt to get near this place if a major game is on! It is a favorite for anybody in the area for a convention so this place will be beyond packed. But on a regular night this is a nice place to unwind after a day in the parks!

Pleasure Island

Activity

Pleasure Island

Pleasure Island is one of my favorite places. There are several different bars on the island, something for everyone. There is a BET sound stage, 70's, 80's, comedy, dance, etc. There are drink stations outside of the clubs if you do not want to pay to go inside the actual bars. There is a sound stage where people perform at night. This is a must for any adult visiting the Orlando area! The best part is staying at a Disney resort and take the free transportation system!

Downtown Disney

Shopping in Downtown Disney is so much fun. There is something for everyone. The biggest Disney Store is there, along with character shops, the Lego store, candy shops, and ESPN sports shop. The dining is great as well: Earl of Sandwich, Rainforest Cafe, Ghiradelli, and, my favorite, Wolfgang Puck!

Dolphin

Experience

The Dolphin is my favorite! I stayed there for the first time a little over a year ago. I did not think that it would have the same appeal as the official Disney resorts but it was so beautiful! The pools are great, all the restaurants and bars were good, but the best were the heavenly beds. The bed is so soft..there is nothing like it. I also really like that it is connected to the swan, boardwalk, yacht and beach club. It is also within walking distance of Epcot Center!

Pin Trading

Experience

Pin trading in Disney World is so much fun! I thought it looked crazy at first but it is a fun hobby. The best locations for pin trading are downtown Disney, as well as the theme parks. But even the hotels and restaurants have good pin trading available. There are great starter sets available in downtown Disney and at the parks. If you are like me it can get a bit pricey but it really is a fun thing to do!
