Watts Towers, Chinese Theater, Getty Museum, Venice Beach, Hollywood Sign, and more are some of the best things to do and see in L.A.

Quick Tips:

Lots to do here so spend your time wisely. Hit all the great stuff first.

Best Way To Get Around:

Car rental is probably the best but when attractions are close to each other it may be good to walk.

Attraction

Watts Towers
These towers are very different than I imagined but also more beautiful. A man made them with his own hands and it took him many years. It has a unique style of architecture and is built with all sorts of things. He decorated it with tile, glass, and porcelain. Some of the towers are very high and others are short. It is definitely worth seeing! The neighborhood it is located in made me feel a little nervous but I went at night. Go during the day to fully enjoy its beauty and to avoid getting mugged.

This place was great! It is built on top of a hill/mountain. To get there you park and take a tram thing to the top. It's fun! I love their art collection. I saw so many fantastic and exciting things. The building itself was amazingly beautiful. Their exhibits are always new and exciting. It has an outdoor feel which is great! The view from the building was incredible. All-around this place was excellent! There is a food place which has good tasting food.

Attraction | "Venice Beach"

Venice Beach
This beach is a lot of fun! Its a great place to play and to work on that tan. The sand is clean but like all sand gets hot. It can get crowded but its not that bad. I recommend going towards evening which almost guarantees less people. There are restrooms and showers available. Parking lots are located along the beach for a nominal fee. Shops are abundant in this area and offer great souvenirs to take home. Sometimes there can be pesky street vendors so watch out.

Hollywood Wax Museum
The Wax Museum was great! It is right on Hollywood Blvd. You walk in and immediately see famous faces on the set of a very familiar movie. There is a horror section that's kind of creepy, be careful. It is a very fun place and the wax figures are very realistic. It is a bit expensive and you can easily walk through it in half an hour. It is worth it. It is included in the GO L.A. cards. They will validate your parking pass here.
