This hotel was on a list of work approved hotels, and it was great. The place is very clean and everyone was incredibly nice. Dicky Brennan's restaurant is in the hotel, and he came over to greet us and thank us for coming to NOLA.

The food here was SO good. Everyone must try the crab cheesecake. It is so good we bought The Palace Cafe cookbook so we could make this at home. All of the food was delicious and service was excellent. I highly recommend eating here at least once.

The food here was excellent, the service fantastic. I had the striped bass, which was served on a bed of oysters. It was excellent. It's in an open room with tables close together but enough room to move in and out of. There are hardwood floors. Watch out, ladies, if you wear heals. There were small groups and couples, but we also eat fairly early, around 6:30pm.

Nice place with great live music. The doormen are very nice and helpful. We kept going back to hear the band. I can't remember their name, but they played some great old-time rock'n'roll.

Harrah's New OrleansBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Harrah's Casino"

You could tell they were still working on getting every area fixed from Katrina. The casino floor was open and everyone looked like they were having a good time. I didn't gamble, but I did see all kinds of slots from penny slots to dollar slots. They also have the World Series of Poker area right there on the bottom floor, but it's roped off.

The nightlife is great on Bourbon Street. If you want a more local flavor, ask one of the bouncers at the Famous Door for a good local bar to hang out if you want some quiet. Bourbon Street is really loud but fun. Everyone is incredibly friendly. I ate at the Arnaud's Oyster Bar, and they were happy to be busy after the year they had. Everyone is very thankful for your business. There are a lot of good live bands. Drinks are little overpriced on Bourbon Street, but it is heavy in tourist traffic.
