This restaurant was situated below a sign that read Asian foot and back massages, so it seemed a little risky from the outside. Once we checked out the inside, we decided to stay. The massage parlor must have been an entirely different establishment. The decor was modernly ethnic, classy, and very inviting, with a bar for socialites in the front of the restaurant.I highly recommend the Tom Yum soup--you decide how spicy. The Nad Sod is a "salad" dish with pork, basil, and ginger and has a nice kick to it. The pad Thai was excellent, a peanut-sauced noodle dish. For dessert, I recommend the dish titled F.B.I.--fried bananas and ice cream sprinkled with sesame seeds, which was very yummy! I do not re...Read More

This Chinese joint is located in the heart of Chinatown, off Canal Street. You know you've reached the restaurant when you see five or six ducks hanging in the window. Once you eat here, you can't ever go back to the little mini-mall Chinese restaurants. My husband eats a whole duck every time (which you can pick if you'd like), which is extremely juicy and never dried out. I order the Egg Foo Young or Lo Mein every time, very good and always fresh. As soon as you sit down, they bring out Chinese tea, and of course they top off the meal with fortune cookies. The food is great, very fresh, and comes in HUGE portions. I love leaving the restaurant and taking a walk through the stores on the streets.

This restaurant is situated in the heart of Little Italy, between other Italian eateries and cute shops. The eatery was bustling with people at 7:30 pm and boasts its family-dining environment. It took quite awhile to receive any attention from a server, so we grabbed some abandoned menus ourselves. Once the server finally came to our table, he only asked if we wanted wine and left with only my husband's drink order while the other four of us sat mouthing our orders. We were willing to forgive the attitude of the server, thinking it was part of the Italian ambiance, if only the food was good. The mozzarella, tomato, and basil appetizer had little to no taste. I do not recommend it. The menu o...Read More

I had a hard time deciding between Puerto Rican restaurants for the most authentic...and this was definitely one of them. A local hole in the wall looking restaurant that is a lot larger than it looks. It's situated on the corner of 47th and 9th. The menu was extensive, and there were an average of 8 different daily specials. This restaurant tends to be very busy during lunch hours, so they ran out of many of the specials due to the lunch hour rush. My husband is Puerto Rican, so we're pretty hard to please unless it's authentic. The food here was completely comparable to his mom and aunts' cooking is Puerto Rico. I recommend the Churassco, a strip steak, that comes with cho...Read More

I loved this tour...as touristy as it was, it was very relaxing in contrast to walking around. For $49.95, you get a 48-hour bus pass including a night tour starting at 7pm. We've done this tour twice and my favorite stop is SoHo...so much shopping. I also recommend getting off at Chinatown/Little Italy for some grub. This bus truly gives you a great view of the city. The night tour is different and takes a slightly different tour, including going into Brooklyn. Have the camera ready, you have a great shot of NYC from the Brooklyn side right during sunset. If anything, this tour is a great way to get around the city and cheaper than a taxi!
