The gardens around the rooms
The staff is very friendly and willing to help you set up tours and other excursions around the area. They also run the Golden Triangle Tours, with A/C vans. The rooms are quite nice, especially for the price! All come with A/C and fan to keep cool during those hot afternoons. Every room has its own bathroom with a Western-style toilet, sink, and shower. The rooms we stayed in each had two twin beds, with a set of chairs and wooden dresser.

The grounds are very beautiful, with various tropical flowers and trees all around the rooms and buildings. You almost feel like you are in the rainforest! It's off of the main drag, with just a 5-minute walk to the night bazaar.

There is a cafe where they serve meals, including the breakfast that is included with the room. The food is excellent with a mix of Western and Thai food. I can't recommend it enough! For the price, I definitely recommend utilizing if in Chiang Rai.

Restaurant

A great restaurant with a nice outdoor sitting area along the busy streets of Chaing Rai. There is a large variety of food, ranging from Western style to Thai and Dutch. The staff and owners are very down-to-earth and understand most English (which helps with ordering). The atmosphere is quiet and relaxed. If you eat at around 6, you can watch the Thais setting up for the night bazaar across the street. We typically ate here several times a week, during our month stay in Chaing Rai. I highly recommend Kao Soi, along with a nice Singha beer. If you are longing for some Western-style food, or some authentic Thai food, then definitely check out Ayes.
