Skyline HikeBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

My cousin, my sister, some friends and I climbed Skyline together. It took us about 2hr. and 15min. It is a beautiful hike. There is a stream about 15min. up that makes a nice break, it's fun to splash yourself and cool down, and when you are about halfway up, you can see the lake beneath you and almost all the way to Sterling. At the top there was still some snow left that stays there pretty much all year. It's kind of a cool sensation to walk on a patch of snow after you haven't seen any for a few months. Also, at the top there is a guest book where everyone who climbs to the top, signs their name and writes about the hike. There are entries from people from ALL over. It's neat to skim through and look at all the different people who hiked to the top. The way down is fun but dangerous as it is so steep, but it's my favorite part. It is fun to run down as fast as you can, bounding over the rocks and other obstacles. Skyline hike is a nice hike, beautiful and fun that you can do with anyone.

Russian RiverBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

A few friends and I hiked Russian River. It is a pretty easy hike but really fun!! About half of us rode bikes which was fun to. It took us about 45 min. to get to the river. 30 on bikes. At the top, you can see the river from above and all the salmon. You can even sometimes see bears. There is a boardwalk where you can look down on the river and eat a picnic. It was lots of fun.
