Overview

Besides the obvious tourist attractions, don't miss a day trip to Tivoli and Florence.

Quick Tips:

Best Way To Get Around:

Taxi's are the best way to get around once you get settled. Initially, hire a private driver to give you a day or two tour around Rome and see the sights. Angelo Amorico is the best in Rome. He has given tours to the likes of Oprah and has a great reputation. His site is http://www.accessitaly.net/
Dine among the ruins of the Temple of Vesta, and in the hills of the Roman Hill Country. Truly a unique experience that will never be forgotten. While there, tour the Cardinal's garden, amazing gardens and fountains.

Catacombe di San CallistoBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Catacombe de San Callisto and the Appian Way"

You won't want to miss a visit to the Christian Catacombs outside of Rome on the Appian Way. Wonderful drive (short) and the experience is memorable.

Attraction | "Vatican Museums - Guide"

Arrange for a private tour guide. You will skip past everyone in line and be able to enter one hour before the public opening time. Many are available. I love http://www.accessitaly.net/

Trevi FountainBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

You must visit this at night when it is aglow with lights. Take a cab and ask him to park in an alley and wait for you. A prepaid tip will do the trick.
