We visited this not-too-shabby hotel for our brief stay in Rome. The rooms were clean and, for the most part, nicely sized. The staff was courteous and helpful, although they spoke only a little English. The hotel has a beautiful courtyard, usually free of visitors (a little strange to me), that offers a nice break from the loud, dirty big city outside its walls.
There are only two major downsides to the hotel. First, the breakfast was the worst we had on our entire holiday. There were very few choices and never more than one person available to assist guests with coffee, tea, etc. Second, the hotel is not in the best location. It is right across the street from Santa Maria Maggiore, which might come in handy, but it seemed isolated from most other attractions. However, it was very close to the train station, good if you're travelling by rail, although this puts the hotel on the edge of the sketchy, gritty neighborhoods of Rome.
All in all, it was a pleasant stay that fit our moderate price range, but it could have been a little bit more comfortable.
