Nature trails with plenty of animals. Baseball diamonds and playgrounds for the children. Great for bird watching.

Birds, birds, and more birds.

Quick Tips:

Try a little of each path to find the one you like the most.

Best Way To Get Around:

On foot is the best mode since you will walk dirt, gravel and wood walkways.

Baby sparrow waiting for its mother

Nature trail #9, 11 & 13

If you are into watching animals there are also plenty here. Deer are all over and are quite used to humans. They come right up to you which allows for a great photo or just a fun time to watch.

During the summer the canopy is quite thick in areas but there are open fields filled with bird houses which are constantly in use. Plan on spending a couple hours with all the wildlife present.

Flapping their wings and learning

Nature Trail #1 (next to trail sign)

Most of this path is a raised wood walkway. Squirrels are running rampant in this area due to all the people that sit at the break points on the benches and feed them. This entire walk is under thick canopy. The hawks nest is visible from the first bench on the walkway. There are currently 4 young hawks in the nest that are starting to venture to the edge of the nest and flap their wings. Typically there is a hawk or owl nest annually along this path so it is great for the bird of prey observer.
