Quick Tips:

Never walk up and down Broadway in heels. The Econolodge is the cheapest hotel available in the Times Square area.

Best Way To Get Around:

The subway.

Museum of Sex

Activity

This place sounds interesting, but it was a waste of money. Sure, it sounds dirty, but really, it's history. The first floor was basically pictures of nude people dating back to centuries ago. Then the next floor was the history of pornography. There was a funny cartoon, but everything else was just not interesting. Then there were sex toys. Those were interesting to look at, but no one would ever want to try them. The gift store was overpriced, but it shows what people will do for money.

RENT

Activity

Rent is the best show on the planet! There is so much energy and drama. I almost cried at some parts, and sang along with others. According to the friend I went with, who has never seen the movie version, the plot was kind of hard to understand since most of the show was sung. However, I knew the plot already and had seen the movie. The musical just enhances the experience. The music is so versatile. There's rock, tango, interpretive, dance, pop—something for everyone. I absolutely loved it and will be seeing it again.

Central Park is so peaceful for such a busy area. We went at the beginning of March. The ice was just melting off the ponds. It was 70°F outside. My friend and I walked for about an hour. We climbed on top of some rocks and looked at the entire park. We sat on some benches and listened to our iPods as we watched people skating and walking by. It is perfect for anyone or any group—lovers, friends, family.

You have to get these tickets in advance online, and get to the studio early to get good seats. The tickets are free. We also got free T-shirts. There's a chance to end up on national TV, but we didn't end up on there. Conan and some other people come out to entertain the crowd before taping. The studio is tiny. They use a wide-angle lens to make everything look bigger. There are only two rows of audience, but it looks like more on TV. It's a great experience for any fan of the show.
