There's only one way to describe Bermuda: Heaven on Earth. With its delicate pink sand, crystal-clear water, and colorful homes built right into the hillside, there's nothing quite like it.

It's hard to find perfect Italian food, but this is as close as you'll ever find. With the freshest ingredients, and the most authentic taste, you'll find this restaurant is sure to be one of your favorites.

The menu offers a wide range of Italian cuisine, all made to perfection. While you're waiting for your custom-made dish, you'll be sure to enjoy wonderful free samples, like fresh homemade bread with homemade pesto. And don't forget to order their fried calamari—it's so fresh that you'll never want to eat it anywhere else!

This small bistro is centrally located off of one of the most convenient streets, Bermudian Road. Enjoy your meal in their cozy shop, relax in their bistro-style chairs outside, or take it back to your hotel (or beach).

This charming place is a little-known secret in the heart of Bermuda. Enjoy!

Lobster PotBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant

While the outside of the Lobster Pot looks a little unappealing, there was something a little intriguing about the name. After passing by several times, I decided to give it a whirl and try it for myself.

I found the inside to be very clean and it had a soft ambience. They weren't very busy at the time, yet I found that I had to wait around for someone to greet me. When I finally had a waiter, I was pleased by the menu (it offered a wide variety of yummy sounding dishes), and I was eager to give it a try.

However, I had to wait quite a while for my dinner. Unfortunately, though, when the food arrived, it was not very appetizing, and I was extremely unimpressed by the average-tasting meal for the above-average price.

All in all, I would not recommend this restaurant to other tourists. There are so many wonderful restaurants in the area, and it would be a shame to waste a meal here.

Rosa's CantinaBest of IgoUgo

Restaurant

The heart of Bermuda is located on Front Street, where all the nightlife and action is packed into one place. Right here in the middle of the excitement, you'll find Rosa's Cantina. And this is a place you won't want to miss.

If you blink, though, you might miss it. It has a small entrance, almost hidden if you're not looking for it. Once you enter, you have to trek up a dimmed (but still safe) set of stairs. (I believe there is also an elevator if you prefer).

As you walk higher, the walls begin to show more and more color. Hand-painted walls and colorful handmade rugs (hanging from the walls) make you smile without realizing it. As you step inside the restaurant, you're eyes don't know where to stop—with the cultural decorations, tons of greenery, and peppy music. You just want to head toward the bar and hang out all night.

Once you reach the table, you're still in the right mind set. The bigger tables feature a huge lazy susan, so everything is in easy reach. The smaller tables are dimly lit and romantic.

But of course you want to hear about the food, which of course is incredible. No matter what you choose, you'll be very happy. All the dishes (and drinks) taste wonderful, and you'll be too stuffed to move. It's a wonderful way to spend the evening.

Attraction | "Horseshoe Bay—Awesome Beach"

Horseshoe Bay
When first arriving at Horseshoe Bay, it's hard to know what to expect. You arrive at a small wooded area, surrounded by bright green trees and vivid flowers. The soft salty smell of the ocean greets you, but you can hardly see it through the trees.

As you wind down the small country road, which has a wide comfortable sidewalk, you wonder if the beach is nearby. If you're not up for a walk, you can simply hitch a ride from the local cab company for $1. A lot of people must use it, because it's the same guy all day every day.

As you near the bottom of the hill, you notice the small cove, hidden behind a wide array of trees, and you can simply see a small cafe with some comfort facilities. The white building is offset by the bright pastels that accent its features. Past the smoky aroma of grilled burgers and nutty ice cream, you're eager to change into your suit and find this exotic paradise.

As you round the corner, however, your breath is simply taken away. Your vision of normal, everyday life is replaced by the incredible postcard vision before you. As far as your eye can see, you're captured by the beauty of another world. Gone is the memory of home, or the troubles of day-to-day life. You simply are taken away by the vision.

The beach itself is crystal clear, stretching for miles upon miles. The warm sand is a soft pink color, almost white. And when you step upon it, it's like walking on feathery sugar. It's soft and gently, almost as if someone had sifted the sand before placing it before you. On the right, you see a small cliff-like structure, hiding a tiny waterpond that's perfect for children. Giggling children run from their tiny beach to the depth of the water (which could only be about 6 inches deep). Moms and dads relax as they watch their children enjoy this small adventure.

If you ever have the chance to visit, this is a "can't miss" opportunity. It will render you speechless.

Crystal CavesBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

Imagine being a young boy playing ball, and your precious ball falls into a hole. As young boys do, you decide to climb into the hole and find it for yourself. Well, that's exactly what two boys did in 1905, and they found more than they could have imagined: they found a national treasure!

Underneath the beautiful Bermuda soil lies another lesser known secret: Crystal Caves. Full of stalactites and stalagmites, this breathtaking underground tunnel also features an incredible hidden pond. With professional lighting and a (very funny) tour guide, you'll be taken away.

The tour of Crystal Caves is a wonderful tour, but a bit pricey. When you're done, you're invited to pay again to see the next cavern, Fantasy Caves, but I'd recommend just one. After your tour, enjoy a small snack at the outdoor cafe, or indulge in a small trinket to take home to the family.

All in all, it's a wonderful way to spend a hot afternoon, and a great memory to take home with you. I had a wonderful time.
