South Florida Summertime Fun

A June 2006 trip to Pompano Beach by susan alsup

My family and I visited South Florida again this past June. As usual, the sunshine, clear water, and cool ocean breeze chased away our winter-blues!

Fairfield Royal Vista is one of the few places undamaged from the hurricanes last summer. The suites are spacious with a full kitchen which provides all the conveniences of home. Be careful of the term ocean view, as it probably will not be to your liking, unless you get the middle building directly on the beach. Also, I was injured by a falling shower rod which was unsecured to the wall. So be careful of that!

Attraction

Pompano Beach is a delight to visit. The crowds are evenly dispersed so that you have space, quiet and privacy. The water is clear enough to snorkle. There are lots of beach activities such as: kiyaking; diving; wave-running; wind-surfing, etc.
