The Drake Hotel
Wonderfully romantic and cozy hotel located in the heart of Downtown Chicago close to amazing restaurants and fun bars, museums, the river and the best shopping ever! The staff here is beyond excellent taking care of their guests every need. The concierge, front desk, and housekeeping services will certainly take care of your every need. The elegant restaurants and lounges in this hotel are superb giving you the best service ever. Though the hotel is older, it supersedes its competition by taking care of guests at every opportunity. It is clean and gorgeous inside and quite the hot spot for weddings too!

Though this restaurant and lounge has the most amazing views of the entire city, the opposite is true when it comes to the food, drink and service. Reservations at 9pm turned to eating at 11:30pm. Dressing up just to sit next to those in ball caps, cut off T-shirts and torn shorts. Ordering food which took forever to get, and not being checked on until the bill was dropped. Not cool. Shame on the SR! Go for the view, but do not expect much beyond that.

Expect to pay no less than $10 for your drink, $10 or more for an appetizer, and the nasty salmon for $29 on the dinner menu is the lowest priced item. I wish we had a better experience, but I can not say that we did. The view from the ladies restroom is phenomenal if you don’t get a table by the window. I would not recommend eating here though. Definitely get a drink at sunset or at 10:15pm overlooking the South side of the restaurant. Find another place to eat and fill your belly well!

City Sky Scape
AWESOME Tour of Chicago Architecture! This one hour cruise parts from the Ogden Dock at the front part of Navy Pier for about $26 ($21.95 if you buy online 3 days before you jet!). The tour guide on our tour never stopped talking which was great because we were able to soak in tons of info on all the amazing buildings in this all-American city! Certainly a "MUST-DO" if you ever want to learn more about Chi-Town! Great for families, friends, groups, singles or couples! The website is really easy to use and it saves you $5 if you order your ticket early. Certainly worth every penny. Enjoy! http://www.chicagotours.us/tours/tourDetail.cfm/tid/1355
