Oh... it is raining, weird, it never rains in Lima and I feel so lucky to be the witness of one of the caprices of nature. -The worst business anyone can think of, ever, is to sell umbrellas in Lima- commented my friend, and in spite of the circumstances, I had to agree.

The game is at 2pm, we can meet after that! Sounds familiar? It must, especially for the pre-final game deciding the fate of who brings back home the so much wanted insignia of the world cup.

It was now time to taste the cozy, warm feeling of a country that is much more than ruins and nature, their greatest treasure, their culture, gastronomy, traditions and folkloric dances, all in one for a quick trip that was fulfilled in a show at Sachun.

Is vibrant, is colorful, is heartwarming, to sing along "El Regreso" or "Mi Peru", performed by a local lyrical group, it doesn't necessarily matter if you know the words or not, all you can do is feel Peruvian and think Peruvian at the time. You are surrounded by a myriad of nationalities, fellow travelers that came to enjoy that part of what they, as a nation, stand for and are very much proud of.

Think Creole, the Marinera dances, a flirt in all senses of the word, mystical sounds out of the instruments of Danzantes de las Tijeras that never cease to play while the performers jump and twist and so much more that keeps me coming back to Peru.

Live shows on weekends. Great atmosphere and an opportunity to share and learn about Peruvian traditions. A great night with fellow visitors that enjoyed waltzes, marineras and danzas serranas accompanied by "cancha", watch out, is addictive, and "causas".
