Although the thought of spending a week at the Jersey Shore with my family sounds enticing, our unit at the Brigantine Beach Club was all but! This resort is not a resort, but a condominium residence. There are approximately 200 units with only 31 being timeshares. The rules were different for those 31 units. Owners are allowed pets so beware...you will be awakened by barking dogs every day. The walls are paper thin and not water tight. When it rained, the rain came through the windows and they were closed! They boast a whirlpool tub, yet the jets did not work and the tub could not hold water. It was not the relaxing vacation I'd planned. They boast that the resort is on the beach, yet they don't tell you that this section of the beach does not allow swimming and you must either walk or drive to a section that does. Walking would be OK but I had my elderly parents with me and that wasn't happening. The plus is that it is very close to Atlantic City...if you are into that. We are not but did spend a few nights there with the kids at the IMAX theatre and the steel pier (amusement park), which was very expensive but the kids loved it.
Quick Tips:
When booking this resort, time sharers should be made aware that this resort does not cater to our crowd. The condo owners are the majority and it is clear they are the ones catered to. When I called for plumbing help since the toilet in the master bath would not flush, I was told there was one maintenance guy and he was doing the best he could. He never did make it to our unit this week.Best Way To Get Around:
You must have a car to get around because this is a private residence...it is not near any public transportation nor does it have shuttles to Atlantic City.
