Best Things Nearby:
The beach: warm tropical ocean waters teeming with fish and a coral reef.

Best Things About the Resort:
The waterpark. The lazy river attraction in the water park.

Resort Experience:
Fun resort with activities led by energetic, friendly staff members. There are many activities, particularly in the water. This would be a good place for honeymooners or families. There are kids programs during the day. We went here on our honeymoon and came back many times after our family grew.

Attraction

World War II Site Saipan
Saipan is a beautiful tropical island with temperatures in the 80's year round. Scuba diving and snorkeling are breath taking in the clear, crystal blue warm ocean. There are also World War II sites to explore. A trip to Saipan can be combined with a trip to visit other CNMI islands such as Tinian and Rota. Northwest Airlines has an overnight stopover in Japan on some routes. Consider visiting the US territory of Guam as well.

Snorkeling on Managaha Island offers many opportunities to see tropical fish up close and personal. It's also a quick hike around the island. Glass bottom boat rides out to Managaha are also available. Managaha is a small island located just off of Saipan. It is accessed by tour boats.

This is a small museum, and the only museum on Saipan. It features artifacts from the 1638 Spanish galleon shipwreck of the Nuestra Senora de la Concepcion. It also features the Freycinet Collection. Most interesting is the fact that the museum is in a former Japanese Hospital, built in the 1920s. It is a must see when visiting Saipan. Website: http://www2.cnmimuseum.org/

Banzai Cliff Best of IgoUgo

Attraction

SaipanCliff
Banzai Cliff offers breathtaking scenery. It is accessible by car. Suicide Cliff should also be visited. Located in the same northern area of the island, Suicide Cliff also provides lovely scenery.

The beauty of the area is offset by its history. Banzai Cliff and Suicide Cliff are places where many died during WWII. Those visiting should read about the history beforehand.
