This B&B is the epitome of romance. The breakfasts were exquisite and the room was superb. There was a gas fireplace in the corner that helped with the romance factor, and the bathroom was adorable with a big claw footed tub and a pull chain toilet. Our room was right off of the garden and had a little balcony. The room was immaculately cleaned and little chocolates were left for us. We enjoyed the afternoon tea time with delicately prepared snacks and conversation with others. Staying at the Gingerbread Mansion was a wonderful memory.

Curley's was a short walk from the Gingerbread Mansion. The food was excellent and the dessert hit the spot. We had a romantic, peaceful dinner by the window while the dining room was quite unoccupied. It was the perfect way to spend our first evening in Ferndale. We would definitely return to enjoy a meal there.

A meal eaten here is all about the experience. The food certainly is good, but the experience of eating at a long table with strangers and within an historic logger's dining hall is what this place is about. We ate lunch here one fine day and enjoyed the logging artifacts and pictures afterward. We were able to sit promptly and the service was excellent. Hearty portions, big enough for a logger's appetite were served. It is served in a sharing style. My husband and I shared bread and salad, we shared condiments with the people eating next to us. It was a fun experience for us both.
