Wonderful 1910 fully restored Victorian in the historic fan district of Richmond. Beautiful gardens, porches, and balconies are available for the guests. Its homepage is www.thegracemanorinn.com. (The pictures do not do it justice!)
This B&B has three, two-room suites. The rooms are very big, and gorgeously decorated in period antiques. Since the house and gardens are huge, there are lots of lovely private spaces, inside and out.
The B&B is run by a husband and wife team, Albert (an appropriately Victorian name!) and Dawn. Albert and Dawn run this as a serious (though seriously fun) business, truly pampering their guests. (Unlike some B&B which are run as a "hobby.") While very friendly and informative about the area, they respect guests' privacy as well.
Dawn is a trained chef, and the breakfasts she makes are awesome! Three courses, with champagne, mimosas and bellinis offered, in addition to fabulous coffee. Factor this treat in when evaluating the pricing. It really is a dining experience, graciously served by Albert.
All in all, this is without doubt the best B&B experience I've ever had. Very professional, but also personal.
I strongly recommend a visit! (PS Despite the cowboy avatar I somehow seem to have acquired, I am a CT Yankee from NYC area.)
