Best Things Nearby:The resort is pretty close to the Grand Ole Opry, Opryland Resort and the Opry Mills Shopping Center.Best Things About the Resort:There were cows on the adjacent lot that we were able to observe every morning and evening out to pasture. It was really relaxing to watch them from the balcony outside our room. Resort Experience:The room is well-appointed, with a washer and dryer unit, a microwave and a cook top. There were pots and pans and dishes for guest use. There was a dishwasher in the room, as well. The room was divided into a living room and a bedroom, with the sink and washer and dryer in the hall. There was adequate drawer space in th...Read More

This is most certainly a tourist attraction, with plenty of photo opportunities and great music. If you come at the right time, you can get line dancing lessons for free and dance the night away on the dance floor. Other times, there are live bands ranging from local yet-unknowns to big country superstars. The food is really an afterthought, but you can get some Southern specialties. Basically, if you come for dinner, you get the entertainment for free. Otherwise, you are paying a cover to get into the bar.Of course, some events are set up through Ticketmaster, so you won't be able to get in without a ticket unless you come in for lunch...but I imagine they'd kick you out before...Read More

The Parthenon

Attraction

What can I say about the Parthenon in Nashville other than it is the only place you can see a full scale replica of the original Parthenon in Athens? Oh yes...

The Parthenon is also an art museum with paintings by 19th and 20th century artists. You can enter the museum for a nominal fee.

The best part about the Parthenon is its location in Centennial Park. There were "street vendors" when we visited that peddled various forms of artwork from pottery to oil on canvas. The park is very lovely.

If you're going in the spring, watch out for bees and wasps. I was nearly stung a few times just walking from our parking space to the museum. Oh yes, parking is ample and free.
