Golden Crown Paradise All Inclusive Resort and Spa

A May 2006 trip to Puerto Vallarta by Laura Holmes

What a perfect way to get away from it all. This adults only resort is the way to go!

This was such a fabulous place to stay. My husband and I can't wait to go back. Not only was it all inclusive but it was adults only. If you're not sure what the difference would be...the only conversations we had to listen to were "honey, can you put more sunscreen on me?" and "una cerveza por favor!"

The rooms were very ample. The bathroom was a very good size. There was an iron and ironing board in the big closet. This was a good thing because I had to iron our "nice clothes" for dinner. We ate at both the Salvador and Paradise restaurants on site. Both require that men wear long pants and closed toe shoes--my husband didn't have either so we made a quick run to Wal-Mart.

The view from the pool out to the ocean was breathtaking. The pool side service for drinks was excellent. The food (restaurant or ala carte) was really good. The only money we spent was when we took a little trip downtown and on tips. Even though it's all inclusive, it's such a great idea to tip your waiters and bartenders--they REALLY appreciate it, and they will remember you. I read other reviews about the vendors on the beach and how pushy they can be--just say "Gracias, no" and they will move on. We didn't feel inundated by them at all.

I would recommend this to anyone with a significant other that is looking for a very reasonably priced, yet relaxing tropical vacation. We are already planning our return trip next summer!
