We cannot say enough good things about our stay at Beachview Retreat in North Vancouver. The owners, Eric and Julie Startup, were extremely friendly, and seemed genuinely interested in getting to know my wife and me.Their home is located very near Deep Cove, which is a small community just above the inner harbor of Vancouver. Before entering the home, you walk through a beautiful garden that has been painstakingly cared for and nurtured. We stayed in the Burrard Suite which had an incredible view of the bay. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and very nicely decorated. We stayed two nights at the Beachview Retreat. Breakfast the first morning was wo...Read More

We received the recommendation to eat at Arms Reach Bistro from the owners of the B&B where we stayed, and we weren't disappointed. This busy restaurant is frequented by locals, which is always a good sign. In fact I heard one gentleman saying that he ate there every Wednesday night.Meals can be taken on the patio or inside the restaurant. Nice views of Deep Cove bay can be seen from either location. My wife chose the three course special that was being offered that night by a culinary student. She was very pleased with the presentation and preparation of the meal. I had Erick's Chostly Caesar for my opening course. I love garlic, and was not disappointed by the garlicky fla...Read More

My wife and I were excited to find out about Liliget Feast House, after doing a considerable amount of research on restaurants in Vancouver. Because my wife has a couple of food allergies (wheat and beef), we are always on the lookout for restaurants that serve wild game. The decor of restaurant is very interesting and unique. There is lots of wood inside the restaurant, and the seating is unlike anything I have seen before. The tables are very low to the ground, and remind you of a Japanese style table. The ends of the table are hinged, and by pulling them up you can then climb into your seat and hang your feet into the well below the table. The complimentary basket of bread and...Read More

Camille's Fine Westcoast Dining

Restaurant | "Camille's"

Camille's is located in the Bastion Square area of Victoria. Entrance into the restaurant is a bit difficult to find, but make the effort as the food is incredible. The ambience inside the restaurant is very romantic. The room was dimly lit with a singer and jazz guitarist performing nice music in the background. The wait staff couldn't have been more helpful or on the spot with water refills. For an appetizer we ordered the chicken potstickers. It consisted of chicken wrapped inside a tender flour shell. My wife ordered the rack of lamb and I had the beef tenderloin. Both entrees were excellent and perfectly prepared. For dessert we shared a dish of chocolate, banana,...Read More
