Summer at Newport

A June 2005 trip to Newport by RCMomto4

Quote: This is our experience after spending a summer week in Newport, RI.
Best Things Nearby:Shopping, restaurants, wharfs, beaches, and mansions.Best Things About the Resort:The location is wonderful and very central to many downtown attractions. Walking Ghost Tour

This was a great tour I took with my older kids (10, 12). We had a great tour guide that took us walking through the old neighborhoods downtown. We got to learn the history of many old buildings and restaurants in the area along with some ghost stories to make things fun. It was a great tour that ended up at the old cemetery in which a black cat mysteriously visits every night along with the tour group! It was well worth the money, and I highly recommend the ghost tour! The only thing is they conclude the tour somewhere downtown and leave you on your own to find your way back.
