Did I mention the shopping? Conroe has access to some of the best antiquing in Texas by taking a short 10 minute scenic drive west out towards the historic Montgomery. If new shops and sales is more your idea of fun, then the Conroe Outlet Mall is the place for you. Be prepared to spend a whole day tacking all the shops that this place has to offer, stores such as Nike, Gap, Guess, Carters, Claiborne, Bass, Sunglass Hut, Oneida, Mikasa and so much more!

The best way to get around Conroe is by personal car. If you aren't driving in to stay then checking out a car at one of the many rental agencies will be your best best. Conroe is a rural city, so mass transit is not established. Taxis are few to far between and in most cases will cost you considerably. There are no bus routes, trains or subway routes to depend upon either.
