Car Park
My first impression of Bangkok was that it is very busy. There are cars, buses and motorbikes everywhere.

Highlight of my stay in Bangkok was the
- chatuchuk markets (i hope i spelt that right)—the biggest markets I've ever seen in my life
- of course the golden palace
- the food

Quick Tips:

Tips - well make sure that when you get into a taxi, that the driver uses the meter. If he doesn't, then get into another.

Make sure that you negotiate a price before hopping into a Tuk-Tuk. Tuk-Tuk are great for short distances, Taxi's are better for the longer rides, plus you get air-conditioning. Sometimes the short taxi rides are cheaper than getting a tuk-tuk.

Best Way To Get Around:

The BTS skyway is pretty handy. Very convenient from getting to places and plus you don't get stuck in traffic. It's always air-conditioned (sometimes a bit too cold!).

Hotel | "Novotel on Siam Square"

This hotel I believe is situated in a great location. Very close to the BTS sky train, and close to shops and more shops. There are quite a few shopping centres nearby. With the close location of the skytrain, we were able to come and go as we pleased. The food in the hotel was quite good. The breakfast that was provided was quite decent. A good variety of foods, from Western to Eastern foods. Room Service was great.Cable in the room was enjoyable. A variety of local TV and Western TV—ranging from national geographic to movies. The room that we stayed in was a deluxe room. It was very spacious and quite clean. The bathroom was quite roomy, and the staff were very pleasant and nice.We would definitely stay in this hotel again.
