A January 2005 trip to Rab by pierotto

We visit this island at least two times a year and stay for a week or longer. Usually we rent an apartment with local family, and organise or time as we wish. It is also a great way to meet locals.

Overview

Sleep, relax, swimming, sightseeing, inland wandering and woods biking. Ideal for recuperation. Avoid summer crowds from 20 July to 20 August.

Quick Tips:

Book your accommodations within walking distance to the town to avoid traffic jams. If you have questions, ask Kristofor Agency about all your info.

Best Way To Get Around:

A car is the fastest way around, but biking and walking are much better.

This is a family apartment on the upper floor of the family house. We had a fireplace, a garden, and a terrace where we spend our evenings when we are not outing.Family is friendly and we recommend them.

Pleasant atmosphere on the terrace. We love their fish stew and cakes. Portions are well served and we get pampered with attention. Entry grapa is usually on the house.

National Park Plitvice Activities

Attraction | "Excursion"

Plitvice lake and waterfalls provide wonderful scenery for walkabouts. You can take small trips with an electric boat and train. You need to be moderately fit to do this. This is UNESCO resort.

Classical Music Concerts

Attraction | "Musical Evenings"

Classical music concerts in a small medieval church on the upper street every Thursday evening. They have international and local performers, great ambiance and great public. We love it!

Santos Beach Club

Attraction | "SANTOS"

This is a beach club outside the residential area. Bamboo stuff, go-go dancing, loud music, DJ shock… dance and drink till you drop, and cool in the sea or small pool they built.
