In April and May of 2006, I spent a couple weeks in Ft. Lauderdale, Ft. Meyers, and cruised to the Bahamas.

15th Street Fisheries

Nothing irritates me more than an expensive restaurant not worth the price. Perhaps it was because we went on Sunday and the food was not the freshest, but my recommendation would be to stay as far away from this restaurant as possible. Ever eat at a place where all the food tasted like dirty refrigerator and/or kitchen cleaning products? Now pay $30 an entree (or up to over $50 for lobster). One plus: they did offer Bon Terra organic wine, something that is seldom seen on a menu.First, you don't get a menu, someone comes around and explains the menu to you. I'd much rather have a self-explanatory menu and be able to ask questions of my waiter. You could tell the guy was so bored from having to tell about the menu every night 50 times, that he had nothing left for friendly service.Included with the meal is a small bowl of three choices of soup and two choices of salad, both served on a little wooden tray. I enjoyed the house salad with bacon, strawberries, almonds. A "bread lady" comes by with some very delicious bread, probably the highlight of the meal. The entree choices are varied, but very expensive. Maybe their specials are better tasting, but I expected a FABULOUS meal for the price and found it to be just plain ordinary.I ordered "dolphin" which is usually known as mahi mahi. Dull dull. I had to ask for extra lemon butter sauce to make it palatable. My companion ordered prime rib, which was large and good. She also had to ask for the au jus sauce. Our other friend ordered the oriental seafood platter which he said was just ok.The view is nice, on the water, but otherwise, it's old and tired. Find another place.
