This hotel is not located near anything but for that reason, the pricing is fairly good. For a week-long stay in non-holiday times, the cost ranges from $74 - $84/night for 2 beds in a room or $174 for a suite. A little kitchenette is in the room. If you stay here you'll want to rent a car. There was a tiny gym facility with a treadmill, elliptical trainer and nautilus weight machine. The nice thing was that places to go are not terribly far away. Whole Foods, Blockbuster, a cafe and shopping district were 10-20 minutes away by car. The room is pretty comfortable and the included kitchen makes budget eating very possible over a longer stay. It's not very fancy, but the...Read More

This coffeeshop is open 24 hours a day, and serves a wide variety of food from Central and South American cultures as well as some Euro-influenced cuisine. The spinach and vegetarian crepes are delicious, albeit a bit large and heavy but then, we are in America where portions are large and food is generally higher in calories than normal. You can also build your own crepes. Omelets are good as are the pancakes. The coffee here is very good. I'm no fan of flavored coffee but I tried several kinds, the mocha one was okay. I drove past this park on the way to explore another part of Dallas with my sister and her coworker. My 9-month-old niece really enjoyed coming here to play under the big tarp (to keep off sun & rain) on the playground equipment with a bunch of other "big" kids.

This works out well for people who have dogs or children. The park is large and, in the springtime, was even green.

Located in the uptown area in Dallas, this fantastic store sells body products for the "natural" crowd. From lip balm to body scrubs and lotions, the flavors are delicious. Most scents aren't overpowering which I prefer but there are a few strong fruity scents.

Everything is handmade in small batches so the flavors change with some frequency. Pear Body Butter, Citrus Splash Body Butter, Fresh Mint Body Polish are just a few examples. (Candles are sold here too.) There is also a spa and boutique at 2928 N Henderson Ave in Dallas's West Village.
