Best Things About the Resort:
Friendly, clean, plenty of things to do in the resort.

Resort Experience:
We arrived late, as instructed by reception we went through a gate to the first apartment where our keys were taped to the newspaper stand. We walked through the grounds to find our apartment. On walking into the apartment I was so surprised, the outside was very deceptive as inside was lovely. The unit was split-level, the living area was perfect for four adults; there was a separate dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. Upstairs were two double bedrooms both on-suite. In the middle of the unit was an atrium open to the air; it had a table and chairs, which we used to sit around with an end of day drink to plan our moves the next day. The staff was extremely helpful and polite, and not intrusive, they were there if they were needed. As indeed they were as at the beginning of the week Hurricane Rita was boiling as a tropical storm off Key West. As it progressed the staff assured us no evacuation would be necessary, but we would be kept informed of any change. The resort we stayed at was called The Ventura. It was in Boca Raton near Fort Lauderdale and situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood, just a short walk from the beach in a quiet neighbourhood. Boca Raton is ideally located for visiting Fort Lauderdale, South Beach Miami and driving through the Everglades down Aligator Alley where you find airboat trips through the Glades.
