Red Brick PizzaBest of IgoUgo

My husband enjoying the TV
I had been waiting patiently for the chance to eat at the Red Brick Pizza. When it finally opened, my husband and I went and had lunch. First of all, I had the most difficult time choosing which pizza to order because there were so many to pick from. They have a ton of choices and I have a hard time with making decisions—especially with things I really like, like food. So if you are like me, allow yourself some time to thoroughly examine the menu. Besides, the 15 different Fire Roasted Gourmet Pizzas they have, they also have salads, Italian Gelato ice-cream, Fhazanis (fire roasted gourmet sandwiches), kid's meals, and sides like bread sticks. My husband is easy and he just ordered a pepperoni pizza and drink. After finally narrowing it down to three, I decided to just pick one and order because people were waiting behind me. And do you know what I did? I ordered the wrong one! I looked at the menu and read off the one below the one I really wanted and I ordered the one that I did not want. But, that was my fault and so I ate it and it was okay, but it had pine nuts on it and I didn't like those. So if you aren't a pine nut fan, don't get that one. I tasted my husbands (of course, like I always do) and his was good. The neat part about this place is that you can watch them bake your pizza in the flaming oven right in front of you. Also, there is a FLAT SCREEN TV AT EACH TABLE with a remote so you can watch TV while you eat. It is literally a few feet from your face. It is pretty neat and my husband really enjoyed that.As far as the price goes, we had two pizzas and one drink and it was $14.00. Since my husband got the daily special, his was about $7.00 and I got a Fire Roasted Gourmet Pizza which was about $7.00 also. The pizzas are pretty good size and not too big so it was plenty to eat. It was very tasty. If you want to look at their menu, you can go to: http://www.redbrickpizza.com/home.php There are some extra items on the menu at the one we ate at so you may see some other items offered that may not be posted on the website. Either way, there are a lot of choices and a great variety of foods to choose from. I enjoyed eating here and will definitely go back.

Fort Worth ZooBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Zoo Run-Run at the Fort Worth Zoo"

The finish line
If you enjoy running, walking, or the in between which is jogging (what I do), then you just might be interested in an event like the Zoo Run-Run. This event is held at the Fort Worth Zoo—which by the way is an awesome zoo—and the course takes place around the beautiful neighborhoods outside the zoo and also inside the zoo. The Zoo Run-Run is a fun run that supports the zoo's conservation projects.Kids and adults of all ages can participate. I participated in the 5K Run/Walk with eight of my friends and we had a great time. The 5K Run/Walk events they had were the Cheetah Chase (which was for ages 14 and up) and the Zebra Zoom (which is for all ages). The Zebra Zoom is what we did and it is a mix of teams from schools, churches, friends, and families. These run/walks are for fun and competition—I prefer the fun part myself. I enjoy jogging for several reasons: to hang out with friends, for exercise, and for the scenery. If you share these same interests, this would be something you would enjoy. If you are competitive, then there are plenty of others that also like to compete when they run, so if you are interested in that kind of running, this would be something that you would enjoy. There is an awards ceremony after the race where teams and members are given medals for the best times.I saw so many families there just having a great time. There were many parents jogging while pushing their children in their strollers. There were a lot of children running and quite a few grandparents too. This is something that the whole family can be a part of and it's a great way to spend time together while getting a work out too!The cost of doing the Zoo Run-Run depends on when you register and what run/walk you choose to do. For the Zebra Zoom we paid $16 each and that included a one day ADMISSION TICKET TO THE ZOO (that is good until the rest of the year), a T-shirt, and all the free food you can handle after the run. They had fruit, bagels, yogurt, Snickers Marathon Bars, Mrs. Bairds fruit pies, Powerade, and Cherry Limeades—and it was all delicious! They also had a little fun park set up with activities to do such as face painting and blow up playgrounds where the kids can jump and play in the plastic balls. We ended out staying for hours and had a blast. If you would like more information about this event, call (817)759-7555 or visit the zoo's website at: http://www.fortworthzoo.com/visit/events.html

Next year is 10th anuual Zoo Run-Run and I can't wait!

Barnes & Noble BooksellersBest of IgoUgo

Attraction | "Barnes & Noble Booksellers"

Front Entrance
My husband and I love spending time at Barnes & Noble. It is a huge bookstore with DVDs, Music, Video and computer games, children's toys and games, gifts, and books for all ages. The gift section is my favorite. I can always find the neatest little things to get family and friends. My husband loves to go look at their guitar and music books. There are places to sit and read while you enjoy a nice cup of Starbucks coffee, which is right inside of the store. They also have a music center with a huge selection to choose from, and you can listen to their music while you are there. The people are very nice and they have a customer service desk right in the center of the store with people there to help you find anything (which might take a lot of time because it is so big). So they are there to help you find what you need. Also, there are people walking around the store offering free samples of Starbucks which was a treat. Altogether, going to Barnes & Noble is always a treat for us. We love that place. To see all what they have to offer, you can go to: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/

The store is open Monday through Saturday 9am to 11pm and Sunday 11am to 9pm.

Hobby LobbyBest of IgoUgo

Attraction

The lobby of Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby is the greatest store in the world! Well, to me anyway. I absolutely love this store. My mom got me hooked on it, and there was a reason people would say, "What? You have never been to Hobby Lobby?" This store has the neatest things in it.

Let me describe it to you as I daydream about walking around the store. First, there is a large floral section with a variety of silk flowers, bushes, plants, and greenery. Next to that they have a bridal section which I shopped at for my own wedding, and next to that they have their fabric section which has a great variety of fabrics, ribbon, and sewing supplies.

In the back corner they have a framing section where you can get things framed, purchase already framed artwork, or purchase frames and artwork separately. Next to that they have art supplies along with crafts which consist of craft paints, jewelry kits, and other Arts and Crafts kits.

In the other back corner there is unfinished furniture and more crafty stuff. The bathroom is also in the back corner. Next to that is a section I really like—the scrapbook section. They have all the scrapbook stuff anyone could need and more. A close friend of mine made me a scrapbook of my wedding, and she got the stuff here and it is the best scrapbook ever made. They also have a fun party section too.

Next to that is the garden section, which I really have fun in. They have all kinds of ceramic, metal, wood, and glass decor along with wind chimes, planters, and bird-feeders. And the other front corner of the store and the center of the store is my favorite section of all—the furniture and home decor sections. I could go on and on about this section but I won't because there isn't enough room on this review! They have the neatest indoor and outdoor furniture and the home decor is endless. Just to name a few, there is a wide variety of lamps, vases, pillows, candle holders, wall hangings, clocks, mirrors, and there is so much more.

Also at the front of the store (usually on the left when you enter the store) they have decorations for whatever season or holiday it is. There is always neat stuff to find in that section that you can use during that time.

This store is so much fun to shop in because there is so much to look at and there are so many things that you can find for yourself and others. I love to shop here to buy gifts for people. This last trip I bought something for a friend, something for my parents, and something for me! If you have not been to Hobby Lobby, you need to go!

The store hours are 9am to 8pm everyday. For more information, go to: http://www.hobbylobby.com/site3/home2.cfm.
