The Tanquera Resort is a all-inclusive 3 star resort, which was in very bad repair and highly overrated at 3 stars. The rooms were damp and the beds were lumpy. The pillows were terrible. We were in room 524 which offers the ocean view, but also, is two doors away from the disco which is open until 2am and plays loud Dominican music all night. The only amenity in the room is the coffeemaker which had a cracked carafe for which we were charged $15 for upon departure. The food is a conglomeration of rice and whatever, and the drinks were so so. The resort has beach chairs which are so old that they do not make for a comfortable time on the beach. I would not recommend the resort to anyone. If you are looking for a good vacation spend a few extra dollars and upgrade. We were there Holy week and all of the locals come and party, they also fight.
