This is a very friendly place where college students live during school year and rent during school breaks for visitors that come from all over the world. This is a great destination for those who appreciate great music, drinks and welcoming people. The Winter Festival is an awesome event and I totally recomend it (I've been there myself more than four times).Check out their page at: http://www.repcasanova.com.br/

The greatest Winter Festival you can go to. Beautiful people, great drinks and awesome music. Also a great destination for Mardi-Gras (CARNAVAL)! The streets are from the 1800s, and the restaurants are divine!

You will be very tired by the end of the tours, for the streets of this city are made of rocks from the 1800s and are basically hills. The city is located amongst mountains, the the churches are on top of each hill. Many with golden details all around, including works of art from "Aleijadinho", an artsman with leprose who was born and lived in Minas Gerais in the 1800s. There are other buildings such as prisons and museums. You're gonna love it!
