This is not your usual Mexican food. The guacamole has pomegranate seeds, and the salad has dried cranberries. This is not to say that the food is not good—it's just not what you might typically expect of Mexican food.Unlike most Mexican restaurants, Barrio Cafe gives you bread with butter (no chips and salsa here). We ordered the guacamole, which was very good. Although, I can't say that I particularly enjoyed the chips. They seemed rather thick and hard. I had the cochinta pibil tacos.
