Lexington, KY is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is a must for all horse lovers and is the center of the thorougbred horse industry. There are beautiful horse farms and the Horse Park and museum.

Overview

The Horse Park is truly a highlight of Lexington. There is a strong arts community. There is a children's museum and renovated opera house. It is home of the KY wildcats, the team of the university of KY and Transylvania University. It is also the home of one of the most elegant horse racing tracks in America...Keenland

Quick Tips:

You will need to rent a car, public transportation is poor. There is an medium-sized airport.

Best Way To Get Around:

Car rental. Taxi service is sometimes hard to get and there aren't really any good bus connections.

This is a great place to stay for the golfer. It has a beautiful golf course. It is a very nice modern hotel with a good lots of facilities.

This is a quaint small restaurant in downtown Lexington. It is known for its fine dining. Unusual fare. The tenderloin with bourbon reduction and lobster mashed potatoes is one of my favorite selections. It is a small resturaunt with close seating in a historic part of lexington. International cuisine with some local color added. There is a full bar service. They carry many good wines.

This is a wonderful downtown resturaunt. Serves Caribbean food. There is an outdoor patio when the weather is nice with full bar and food service outside. It is a popular dining spot as well as a great happy hour gathering place. The coconut shrimp is incredible.

Restaurant | "Jonathan's"

This is a resturaunt in the Gratz Park Inn and is spectacular. They have a lot of Kentucky and regional favorites with an elegant flare. YOu may find fried chicken, lamb, and a tenderloin which is excellent. The lunch menu includes specialty sandwhiches and salads. The desserts are incredible with homemade icecreams and sorbets as well as chocalote flourless cake and creme brulee with bourbon. If you are staying in the historic Gratz Park Inn or some other place in Lexington I would highly recommend this fine resturuant.
