Taiwan Night Market

A June 2005 trip to Taipei by tine333

Yummies in the famous Shi-Lin Night Market, a food introduction.

Shi Lin Night Market is one of the most famous night markets in Taipei. A couple highlights of the food we had there:

Stinky Tofu - sure it smells horrible, but the crispy and unique textured tofu is a must-have when you visit Taiwan. What it is: fermented tofu, deep-fried, served with soy paste/chili sauce and pickled veggies.

Shi-Lin Super Sausage - Taiwanese sausage is distinctly sweeter than sausages from other countries. What it is: jumbo sized sausage made of quality lean pork, served with sliced garlic.
