JARDIN MARINHO- on the main road near the beach, its full of ticos and does the best marlin with garlic fillet in samara.

EL SUENO TROPICAL, outside of town near Playa Carillo, is ´romantic´lit up at night and the food is good, particularly the seafood pasta. Bar Lagarta on the beach in Samara does great BBQ fish, chicken( pollo) and one of the best steak BBQ in Costa Rica.
DRINKS: La Gondola on the main road has pool, table tennis and decent music though its often empty during the week. Las Olas is the beach bar open til late with pool, table football and occasional DJs,( with the inevitable cod reggae popular all over Costa Rica).
