One of our businesses is located here, so I have an overnight stay here.

This is one of only a couple of hotels in the town of Hutchinson, so choice is limited. I chose this hotel from other reviews, as it seemed the best in the area.

It is very oddly set out as many of the rooms including the one I had are internal rooms, so have no windows to the outside.

I had a business room, which included Internet access and a desk, although I did not use these facilities for the night I stayed so cannot comment on their ease of use etc.

My room had two queen beds, a TV with loads of channels, although no pay-movies. There was a wardrobe, basin and coffee maker.

The bathroom was small but had a jet bath with shower over and toilet. The shower was not as powerful as you find in most hotels but was adequate.

The room in all was perfectly adequate and clean.

Be warned that there are no elevators in the hotel and although there are only 2 floors, you will still have to carry your luggage up stairs if on the upper floor.

Breakfast was served in the restaurant on the ground floor and was one of the worst breakfasts I have ever seen. There were some pieces of bread – brown and cinnamon with a toaster. Some small muffins, brightly coloured cereals, boiled eggs, tea, coffee or orange juice.

For a night or two the hotel is fine, but I wouldn’t want to stay here for a long period, especially in an internal room. Also, I would go elsewhere for breakfast.

We had dinner here one evening and it was very nice.

They have a long bar if all you want is a drink, or you can go to the back of the building for tables and booth for meals.

The menu is extensive and there are many choices, so no one should have an excuse to not find something they like.

I had a Lamplighter Chicken Sandwich with fries and it was huge. A large marinated piece of chicken with bacon and cheese in a toasted brown sandwich and lots of fries. My friend had a pasta dish which was so large she could not finish it.

The staff are very attentive and you will never go without here. A very pleasant experience.

I was taken here twice in 2 days for business lunches. I don’t think there are too many choices in this town! However, I was not disappointed as it is a Chinese buffet, so you can have anything you want.

They have a huge choice of Chinese dishes, soups, fruit, desserts, etc. The waitress serves drinks but then it is up to you to go up as many times as you like to choose your food.

I tried things that I would not normally buy, so this was a good experience for me. It is quite reasonably priced too.

Everyone gets a fortune cookie at the end of the meal. Highly recommended
