At the city or just outside has more mountains and hills than you will ever need. You can make your own paths and hike for a couple of hours or you can take a 4-day tour that will take you to Lake Isikul in Kyrgystan.

Skiing in Almaty

Attraction

Quote:
Great skiing if you are not too afraid of the actual concept. Good runs and beautiful mountains. You are not going to find too many places to ski for this cheap that were used for Olympic trials.
