Spring Break in Wisconsin Dells

Overview

Quote:
The best thing to do in March would be go to an indoor water park. There are many to choose from. Most are located at area resorts. Most of the resorts will accept the public. We also enjoyed the tubing at Christmas Mountain Village, but we went from March 18 to 24 ,and tubing was only open on the weekend. The ski slopes were closed. We were a little disappointed about that since there was still what looked to be plenty of snow on the slopes, but that's the chance you take when you go in late March.Since we are from the South, we expected it to be very cold. We were pleasantly surprised. During the day, it wasn't much different from Kentucky. At night, though, it would get very cold. However, this ...Read More

Best Things Nearby:Indoor water parks everywhere!Best Things About the Resort:Activities, building a fire each night, Snow tubing, skiing, and golf.Resort Experience:We stayed in a two-bedroom villa. It was wonderful! There were twin beds in the downstairs bedroom with a TV, which was perfect for our children. They had a connecting bathroom with a shower. We had a kitchen with everything we needed, a dining room, living room with fireplace, a screened in deck area with a Jenn Air grill, and the Master Bedroom upstairs. Wow! It had a fireplace, a huge Jacuzzi with mirrors, skylights over the queen bed, and a bathroom with a shower. We also had a TV and there wa...Read More

Mt Olympus has just opened their indoor amusement park, The Parthenon, included in the price. They have two slides that are one- to two-person raft rides and two tube slides. For the little kids, they have a water activity pool. The whole place has a Greek mythology theme and was beautiful. They have many areas to sit and watch. We really liked the fact that we didn't have to stay right with our kids (ages 11 and 13). It's not so big that you can't keep an eye on them and still enjoy what you want to. They have a snack bar that has the usual fare, with about the usual prices of amusement parks. The snack bar also sells beer. Also, there is a game room. Since the Parthenon had just opened, there wasn'...Read More

Wizard Quest

This was a lot of fun! When you first go in they give you a piece of paper with questions on it that you have to answer and a pencil. There are four realm wizards that you have to free in order to win the game. In order to answer the questions you have to walk through and listen to characters, solve riddles, and then run to a computer kiosk to answer the questions to earn glimmers. It takes 200 to 250 glimmers to free a wizard, but you have to find the wizards too! We had four in our group. It helps to spread out a little. There are tons of secret passages to explore. The place is beautifully decorated, and it's easy to forget that you are supposes to be looking for answers! This is well worth th...Read More
