A June 1985 trip
to Orlando by Dreamtime
Quote: This trip started the bug thats still inside me "The Travel Bug"! This was my very first vacation without my parents when I was still in high school. Visiting Disney World and especially Epcot seeing the different countries and their customs made me want to travel even more! And don't forget sampling all the different foods!
The school chapperones had everything well planned when we arrived in Florida there were buses waiting to take us to our first destination, Medieval Times Dinner & Tournament. We had a lot to look forward to and a busy schedule ahead we were going to visit The Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Wet 'n Wild and Sea World.
Don't forget your camera and wear plenty of sunscreen and suntan lotion!
This was a nice place to stay and it was close to all the parks. It’s a lot cheaper to stay outside of Disney World. If you don’t have a car you can take a bus to get to the parks.

Dinner is a four-course meal with all the trimmings, except for silverware! Yes, you must eat your food with your hands!! From the soup in Medieval bowls to the chicken and ribs and even dessert. The food is served by "Wenches" and if you need to get her attention you have to yell "Wench get me a drink" or whatever you need.
We all really enjoyed ourselves, maybe because our knight won the Jousting!! The knights ride beautiful Andalusian Horses and they all put on a great show!

There are plenty of water slides and other rides to keep you busy for the entire day! But remember your sun screen or a cover up, or you'll feel like a french fry when you leave!

There is so much to see and do in the park that words cannot even begin to describe. In the Magic Kingdom you can visit Fantasyland, Tommorrowland, Frontierland and Adventureland. In Epcot my favorite place was the world showcase where you can visit American Adventure, Canada, China, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Morocco, Norway and the United Kingdom.
There are so many different places to eat inside the parks, but most of them require reservations! One of my favorite places to eat was inside of Cinderella's Castle, They serve great food and if your there when it's dark and you are sitting by the window you'll have a great view of the fireworks that go off right above the castle!
