Arrival was a nightmare, where you should be entering the hotel you are told to drive down a block take a right. There was no bellman, and then you are told you have to walk through the casino to the elevators and go to the third floor to check-in. What a set up. Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat

Attraction | "The secret gardens"

This was quite nice for $15 apiece, just make sure you have a few hours because it's not a place to just run through. White tigers, leopards, lions, and dolphins... The Mirage was a fun and interesting place to be, and the surrounding was very nice. It was a nice break from the strip

Sam's Town Hotel Casino

Attraction | "Sam's Town"

Still the best place to play without all the glitz of the the strip, but still a lot of fun and the payouts seem to be much better. If you are into blackjack, Binions is the place to go. It is one of the few places left that has tables with single decks, and the odds are sooo much better. The stations are also good places to play with good pay outs.

If you are looking for a very good and inexpensive meal head for Binions. For $5.99 you can have a great steak dinner with all the fixings (except the rolls). Like all of the casino restaurants, you have to ask for this, its not on the menu. The waiter or waitress love it when asked, it tells them you have done your homework, or been there before. I wish that I remembered our waitresses name, she was great—an older woman who had been there forever, and I do know that she is the union job stewart—what a personality!!!
