There are many things to do in New York city. One is going to the top of the Empire State Building. It is really cool. It's so windy up there that you can lean forward and the wind will hold you up; it's really an experience.
I also enjoyed going on a tour of the NBC building. I am a big fan of Saturday Night Live, and I got to see the set, which was a really great experience. We also saw the sets of Dateline and other NBC shows that they shoot in New York.
Next you should go out to Ellis Island. It is a great learning experience. You get to see what immigrants went through when they came to America. You can actually look up your last name on computers and find relatives that came here. I actually looked up my last name and found my relatives that had come from Italy in the 1800s.
Also, we went to a Broadway play. The play we saw was "Wicked," and it was amazing! I highly recommend it.
While in New York, you should experience Central Park and Chinatown. Central Park was beautiful, especially because it had snow everywhere. Chinatown is really unique, something different to see. There is a lot to do in New York, and these are some of my highlights.

Best Way To Get Around:
I went with my school on this trip, so we were on a bus, but I had been to New York before, and I recommend using the subway. The subway is underground and easy to get around. It costs to ride if I remember correctly. Taxis are kind of expensive, depending on how far you go, but equally easy to get around in.
