A beautiful, sunny time in Honolulu. We spent so much time at the beach and shopping. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. The water was so incredibly warm; it was in the mid-80s the entire time.

Waikiki Parc Lobby
The hotel is in a fabulous location, right behind the Halekulani hotel on Waikiki Beach. The lobby of this boutique hotel has a contemporary Hawaiian design and is not large. The rooms are simply decorated and most of them have balconies. The hotel is reasonably priced, from $190 to $250 per night, and is totally worth it.

There is an outdoor pool, but we didn't see anyone in it. Really, there is no need; you can walk around the side of the Halekulani hotel to get to the beach.

The hotel is centrally located, only 1 block from the main road with all of the stores and restaurants. We recommend that you try the rotating restaurant called the Top of the Tower Restaurant. But make sure you get reservations as soon as you get into Honolulu, because it fills up quickly. The views from the top are fantastic.

If you plan on staying in Waikiki, don't bother renting a car. There are hotel shuttles from the airport for only a couple of dollars per person. The public buses go EVERYWHERE.

If you are a shopper, you can walk down the main road to the massive luxury mall, where you can shop at Gucci, Fendi, etc.

Gary drinking pineapples
This place was great! It has a fun atmosphere and the food was great. It's a Hawaiian-decorated restaurant with fabulous drinks. My husband and I had pina coladas in actual pineapples. We sat there with the warm breeze blowing through, watching people passing by in a prime location. This place is great for couples or large families and is quite inexpensive.
