It's a great place for the outdoor man and woman, and it is also located just around 30 minutes from Fredricksburg; a cute, little, authentic German town.
It is filled with lots of history and culture (and a pay phone to call friends and family and tell them you were engaged). While we were there, we climbed to the top of this hill and sat and enjoyed the breathtaking view. We talked, he proposed, and then we spent a few more hours hiking and viewing the state park. It will definitely be a place we go back too.
