The scenery, all roads lead to the coast and the views are wonderful. A trip to the mountains is worth a visit and everywhere is so green, unlike some of the other canary islands. Try and visit Puerto Mogan, with lovely harbour and beach and interesting streets full of flowers.

Quick Tips:

Hire a car to get around, but be warned that there are many hairpin bends. Take a map as once in towns the signs are few and far between!

Best Way To Get Around:

The motorway goes halfway around the island, with the rest of the roads very bendy.

Best Things Nearby:The coastal path, which goes to Puerto Rico, is opposite the complex and the walk takes about 10 minutes. Going in the other direction for about 6 minutes along the path, you will reach a fantastic yellow sandy beach, with many restaurants, and has good toilet facilities. Well worth taking is a ferry trip from Puerto Rico to Puerto Mogan (a small. attractive resort) along the coast.
