This is by far the most wonderful place that I have ever been. And yes, it really does look like all of the pictures you see. The Sandals resort in the Bahamas is considered a "couples only" resort, where you will find many honeymooners and people celebrating many years of marriage. We met couples from all over the world and it was really neat because they created the resort just for spending time with your mate. It is so beautiful and such a fun place to be. All the people were so nice and helpful and the food was great. There were eight restaurants to choose from, and seven pools and three swim-up pool bars. The spa was excellent too. The private island that they had was neat, and it ...Read More

My adventure snorkeling in the Bahamas was fun, and a little bit not fun for me. Snorkeling is a blast-no doubt about that. To go snorkeling, you just sign up at the water sports booth and pick the time you would like to go. They take people pretty often because the whole thing is less than an hour (snorkeling part is about 25 minutes long). Once you load the boat, they give you your snorkeling gear (life jacket, mouthpiece, and goggles) and you put it all on and listen to the instructions given by the workers on the boat. Then everyone gets in the water and starts snorkeling! There are millions of fish and plants to see and depending on where you go, you can see some really cool stu...Read More

This private island that Sandals offers is well worth the little 10-minute ride over there. It has two private beaches, a gourmet restaurant, pool, swim-up pool bar, whirlpool, and outdoor spa. We visited the offshore island several times during our stay. When we went, there were maybe 50 people on the whole island. It was nice to feel kind of secluded and on your own. It was like Gilligan's Island, but you could actually go back to civilization whenever you wanted to! There are a lot of trees over there so it looks and feels different than most of the beaches I have been to. It really feels like you are stranded on an island and you have nothing but your towel and your magazine, and that...Read More

Red Lane Spa

Story/Tip

Look at those gorgeous hands! Photo, Nassau, Bahamas

This was the spa that we went to inside the Sandals resort at the Bahamas. The Red Lane Spa provides a place where you can go to relax and be pampered—whether you are male or female. The people working were very nice and they really made us feel welcome. My husband and I got what's called a "Straight Up Manicure" which lasts 35 minutes and costs $35 each. It wasn't long enough because when we were finished, we didn't want to leave! My husband actually really enjoyed it.It was so relaxing and even though you don't want to leave all that fun in the sun, it was like we were in a totally different place as soon as we walked down the stairs (it's underground) for just a little while, and then you were righ...Read More
