Weekend Concert

An August 2005 trip to Grand Rapids by ugotme33

The Unity Festival is held every year on the water. It is good family-fun, with games, and big name Christian artists every night on the water.

Overview

Wow... is all I can say! If you like Christian music and great scenery, this is the place for you. Listening to your favorite artists sing, while enjoying the lake side view of the harbor. The games and different bands they bring are for all ages and all kinds of music from alternative christian, rap, rock, and soul, there is something for everyone. It is beautiful. We go every year now and can't wait for the next one.

Quick Tips:

Make sure you get there early in the day to get your seats. There isn't reserved seating so it is on a first come bases. It is worth the wait though.

Best Way To Get Around:

There are parking areas all around the Harbor. You will have to walk a little ways to get inside the gate and to the concert area. Make sure you bring seats of blankets to sit on.
Best Things Nearby:
Lake Michigan.

Best Things About the Resort:
Clean and quiet.

Resort Experience:
A few steps away is Lake Michigan, with sandy beaches and cold water. A very clean and quiet campground ends a perfect day. There is no drinking at this campground, though, so be aware of this if you like to drink around the campfire a night.
