The vista in the Alps, when the weather is clear, is stunning. After passing the Jura (on my way to Interlaken) I see the Alps while the freeway heads down into the valley, and I decide to leave the freeway after finding an interesting location on the map: Balmberg. I pass Solothurn and drive my way up to Balmberg, park the car, and take a short hike northward while enjoying the vista on the Alps.

It's an easy hike on the track here, and the breathtaking vista is mind-expanding. It takes a while to tear myself apart from this vista and return to the car.
